Influence of dielectric environment on phase transition temperature of MLG-MLG graphene double layer system
摘要
This study reports the conductivity of MLG-MLG graphene double layer system (GDLS) kept in different dielectric environments at different temperatures. For conductivity calculations, along with the temperature, the role of interlayer distance, dielectric constant, carrier concentration, long-range impurity concentration and short-range impurity concentration effects are incorporated in Boltzmann transport equation framework. The conductivity results show temperature dependence. The GDLS shows metallic behavior at low temperatures while above room temperature, the conductivity value increases, and the system shows phase transition from metallic to insulating behavior. Moreover, the phase transition temperature is found to have a strong correlation with the dielectric environment of GDLS.
