<p>Exploring spatial patterns of threatened species diversity is essential for identifying vulnerable areas and guiding conservation priorities. Brazil has an established history of monitoring threatened crustaceans, providing a valuable database for conservation strategies. Genetic data play a crucial role in assessing biodiversity through phylogenetic-based indices. In this study, we compared spatial patterns of species richness (SR), phylogenetic diversity (PD), and phylogenetic endemism (PE) of crustaceans, based on the two most recent assessment periods (2016 and 2022) under the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) criteria. We hypothesized that both evaluations would reveal similar diversity distribution patterns. Using species occurrence records and a phylogenetic framework, we analyzed diversity indices across the Brazilian territory. We generated 57 new mitochondrial sequences (COI = 27; 16S = 30), expanding the genetic library to 36 species. The results indicated similar distribution patterns between the two periods, with the highest SR observed in the South and Southeast regions, PD predominantly distributed along the coastline, and PE primarily concentrated in the South. This distribution pattern overlaps with areas covered by two National Action Plans (PANs). This study enhances the genetic dataset for threatened crustaceans and identifies priority areas for the conservation of decapod diversity in Brazil.</p>
