<p>The results of model and theoretical studies of the stress state of a massive buttress dam on seismic impacts in the presence of cracks in the buttresses themselves are presented. Amethod for calculating the deformation of the buttress wall on dynamic impact is proposed. The results of calculations of the stress-strain state of sections of the dam in the presence of cracks in the body of buttresses for seismic action are presented. The calculation of the stress state of the dam buttress is compared with experimental model studies.</p>
