<p>The article examines the reasons for excessive wear of runner blade operating mechanisms of hydraulic turbines in secondary frequency regulation (SFR) mode. We propose a method for enhancing the equipment service life by modifying the algorithm for maintaining the guide vane opening/runner blade angle (on-cam) relationship.</p>
