<p>An adaptive algorithm for assessing the aging of transformer insulation is discussed. The algorithm is based on the Montsinger equation and van’t Hoff – Arrhenius law. Since one of the main types of power equipment in the Russian power grid is transformers and the hydraulic power industry has a large amount of capacities, it is crucial to accurately assess the deterioration of transformer equipment to ensure high-quality electricity distribution and capacity utilization.</p>
