Investigation of the Applicability of a Genetic Algorithm for Solving the Problem of Ensuring the Required Power Reserve in an Active Energy Complex

The article provides a brief overview of the existing methods for optimizing the amount of load shedding control actions to ensure the required power reserve in an active energy complex. The application of a genetic algorithm to solve this problem is examined. The study investigates the selection of parameter values for the genetic algorithm that influence the obtained results. Conclusions are drawn regarding the applicability of the genetic algorithm, and recommendations for setting the algorithm’s parameters are provided based on the conducted mathematical modeling.
