Digital Model of Phase Shift Regulator Between Voltage Vectors to Improve the Dynamic Stability of Power Transmission System

This article presents the results of a study on the influence of a phase-shifting transformer (PST) on the dynamic stability of power transmission. From analytical calculations and computer modeling, an effective algorithm for controlling the PST angle in an emergency transient process was determined. The developed algorithm was implemented as a digital model of an automatic PST angle regulator (APSTR), whose efficiency was demonstrated using an example of a power distribution circuit of a large power plant with a PST installed on it.
