Analysis of the Methodology for Calculating the Seismic Component of Pressure in Pressure Conduits of Hydroelectric Power Plants

This work examines the physical prerequisites underlying the derivation of the SP 14.13330.2018 equation to calculate the additional pressure in a pressure conduit under seismic impacts. Factors that are not considered within the calculation methodology employed are identified.
