摘要

We review published research on plant-pollinator interactions among food plants in urban agriculture worldwide and provide a critical overview of the spatiotemporal distribution of knowledge, urban plant-pollinator profiles, and research funding for urban agriculture and ecosystem services. We also highlight the potential of urban agriculture to create pollinator-friendly spaces that support local pollinator conservation. We conclude that pollination services are a promising nature-based solution to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) targets, delivering several ecosystem services, ensuring food security and sovereignty for urban dwellers, and alleviating malnutrition. By synthesizing evidence on plant-pollinator interactions, we identify major knowledge gaps to guide future research.
