<p>We surveyed 62 villages comprising 387 respondents using structured questionnaires and conducted focused group discussions and transect walks. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed for data analyses. The income from agriculture was ($153.97/hh/year), followed by NTFP-based income ($112.84/hh/year) and off-farm income. The findings demonstrate that respondents earn a significant share of their income from NTFP sales. The extent and pattern of household income reliance on NTFPs varies significantly across socioeconomic and demographic profiles. The results indicate a positive impact of natural, physical, and human assets. Socio-economic, ecological, and demographic parameters should be considered when designing an effective forest management plan and policy for NTFP management.</p>
