<p>The spatial transformation of rural regions under digitalization has become a central issue in regional development geography. To investigate how the digital economy drives all-around rural revitalization, this study integrates a GIS-based geospatial analytical framework with dynamic panel econometric modeling, using panel data from 30 Chinese provinces spanning 2012–2021. A multidimensional rural revitalization index is constructed via the entropy-weight method, encompassing five dimensions: industrial prosperity, ecological livability, cultural civility, governance effectiveness, and living affluence. The results show that the digital economy exerts a strong positive impact on comprehensive rural revitalization, with industrial prosperity demonstrating the highest elasticity (0.4953), while ecological improvement exhibits comparatively weaker responsiveness (0.3687). Regional GIS-based spatial decomposition reveals that central China exhibits the strongest digital‑driven transformation effect (0.6322), followed by western (0.6058) and eastern (0.5941) regions, whereas the northeastern region demonstrates limited responsiveness (0.4347). By embedding provincial panel data within a geospatial analytical structure, the study uncovers significant spatial heterogeneity in the enabling effects of the digital economy. The findings highlight that digital infrastructure development, regional resource endowment, and spatial digital divides jointly shape differentiated rural development trajectories. This study contributes to GeoJournal’s regional development discourse by providing a geospatial perspective on digital transformation and rural restructuring, offering spatially differentiated policy implications for sustainable rural development.</p>
