Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) in corporate governance: a framework for resilience
摘要
This research explores how Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks enhance stakeholder engagement (SE) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) within sustainable business strategies. The study mainly investigates how incorporating ESG into SE can improve transparency, accountability, and overall business performance. Data were collected from 211 members, including employees, customers, investors, suppliers, CSR managers, and industry experts, through a mixed-methods approach. The research advances to the development of the ESG research body by illustrating the clear business benefits of integrating sustainable practices into corporate strategy. The novelty of the study builds on a new understanding of ESG integration by linking risk identification, stakeholder loyalty, and organizational profitability, understanding the influence of ESG on business. The findings suggest that improvements in SE that are sustainable practices in ESG lead to increased transparency and accountability (TA) within organizations. Active engagement generates benefits for both organizations and communities, strongly impacting both environmental and social impacts (ESI). Strong ESG development builds strong relationships with investors and identifies risks earlier. Integrating ESG into CSR activities increases business value through customer loyalty. The result shows that ESG integration, as previously stated, not only improves corporate social influence but also contributes to over time business sustainability and profitability. The study demonstrates that incorporating ESG into CSR practices fosters organizational resilience, transparency, and stronger stakeholder trust.
