<p>The historically significant oasis of AlUla, situated in the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia, is a testament to the area's prolific natural resources, extensive cultural heritage, and considerable potential for tourism development. Alongside its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the region is renowned for its stunning landscapes, notably Wadi AlFann, and its remarkable sandstone formations, which draw visitors from across the globe. This article investigates the historical importance of AlUla as an ancient nexus of commerce and culture, emphasizing its conservation efforts and the expansion of tourism spurred by Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative. The article underscores AlUla's unique prospects for sustainable tourism by analyzing the region's natural assets, including its diverse landscapes and contemporary architectural developments, in addition to its traditional artistic expressions and advancements in infrastructure. Furthermore, it delves into the weather conditions and ancient "kites" (stone edifices) contributing to AlUla's considerable appeal. This research employs a qualitative case study methodology, leveraging secondary data sources such as scholarly articles, governmental reports, and tourism metrics to assess AlUla’s viability for sustainable tourism advancement in accordance with Vision 2030.</p>
