摘要

Urban planning and public health are inherently interconnected, particularly in developing countries like Morocco, where rapid urbanization presents multifaceted challenges. This study explores the convergences and divergences between the principles of healthy urban planning (HUP) and the strategic orientations of Morocco’s new development model (NMD), launched in 2021. By analyzing these intersections, the research aims to provide a strategic framework that can guide urban actors in proposing concrete improvements to urban policies in Morocco. Using a qualitative methodology that includes a literature review and international case studies (e.g., Bogotá, Medellín), this study identifies synergies in areas such as territorial planning, housing quality, urban mobility, and environmental protection. However, significant gaps remain in integrating health and environmental indicators into public policies. Recommendations include fostering participatory governance, developing multifunctional green infrastructure, and creating a national geospatial data platform. These proposals aim to enhance urban resilience and quality of life while addressing sustainability challenges within the Moroccan context.
