<p>Climate change increasingly jeopardizes Ghana’s water supplies, resulting in significant repercussions for biodiversity, flood hazards, and food security. Increasing temperatures, unpredictable precipitation patterns, and extended droughts enhance water shortages, impacting agricultural output and potable water supply, while severe weather phenomena like floods worsen infrastructure damage and environmental deterioration. These difficulties have extensive consequences for livelihoods, ecosystems, and sustainable development. This research evaluates the consequences of climate change on Ghana’s water resources and its subsequent implications for biodiversity, flood catastrophes, and food security while investigating adaptation measures to alleviate these risks. A comprehensive analysis of 59 pertinent sources indicated that climate change alters precipitation patterns, escalates drought occurrences, and exacerbates flooding, resulting in water scarcity, habitat degradation, and ecological disruptions. These consequences expedite biodiversity decline, compel species relocation, and disturb agricultural rhythms, exacerbating food poverty, especially in northern Ghana and the Volta Basin. Resolving these concerns requires a holistic strategy integrating climate-resilient agriculture methods, sustainable water management, and enhanced flood early warning systems. Enhancing biodiversity conservation initiatives, improving institutional frameworks, and advocating for community-based adaptation measures are crucial for achieving long-term climate resilience and protecting livelihoods in Ghana.</p>
