摘要

This article aims to determine the impact of artificial intelligence on the agricultural empowerment of women in Africa. Thus, we used an incomplete panel of 34 countries in Africa over the period 2013–2020 and on which we applied the GMM method for basic results and the Corrected Panel Standard Error (CPSE), Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Between (BE) methods for fixed effects and the Generalized Least Squares (GLS) estimator for robustness analysis. The results from these analyses allowed us to conclude that the use of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector contributes to reducing gender inequalities. However, we note that the significant number of women employed in agriculture also contributes at this reduction in gender inequality in Africa. Thus, it is important for African countries to create favorable conditions to enable women to master the mechanisms of artificial intelligence applied in the agriculture for its development of agriculture in Africa.
