<p>The integration of organic amendments and cover crops presents a sustainable strategy for enhancing soil fertility and agricultural productivity. This study examined the impact of organic orange peel fertilization on nutrient dynamics in two cover crops, cowpea (<i>Vigna unguiculata</i> L.) and sunn hemp (<i>Crotalaria juncea</i> L.), over two growing seasons (2022 and 2023). Cover crops were planted between orange tree rows, with orange peel powder applied in alternating rows, creating 10 replications each for amended and unamended treatments. Plant samples were collected mid-season and analyzed for nutrient content. Nutrient accumulation per unit area was estimated by multiplying the dry matter per plant (g) by the estimated stand density for each species and converting the results to kilograms per hectare for macronutrients and grams per hectare for micronutrients. Data were subjected to an F-Test, and when significant differences were found, means were compared using Tukey’s test at a 5% probability level. Hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) and principal component analysis (PCA) were also performed. Sunn hemp showed elevated accumulation levels of micronutrients, especially manganese (116% in 2023) and copper (88% in 2023), highlighting its potential for micronutrient cycling. Cowpea plants showed an increase in calcium (60% in 2022) accumulation. Orange peel amendment significantly increased nitrogen (49% and 42% in 2022 and 2023, respectively), phosphorus (55% in 2022), potassium (49% and 80% in 2022 and 2023, respectively), calcium (48% in 2023), magnesium (48% in 2022), and sulfur (37% and 48% in 2022 and 2023, respectively). For micronutrients, orange peel powder increased the concentration of manganese (63% in 2023) and copper (23% in 2023). HCA and PCA revealed distinct nutrient dynamics between the two species where sunn hemp tends to accumulate micronutrients, whereas cowpea accumulates larger quantities of macronutrients. These findings underscore the role of organic amendments and cover crops in sustainable nutrient management. However, as a single-site, short-term study, further research is needed to confirm long-term effects and broader applicability.</p>
