Validation of Spatial Models of Turbulent Flows During Preparation, Production, and Use of Chemical Fibers

Global tendencies in the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in the area of chemical fibers were studied. A methodology for verifying the accuracy of CFD with modeling of applied problems in preparing and using chemical fibers was proposed. Trends in the selection of turbulence models for flows with rotation, for modeling microscopic heterogeneities, and for evaluating the required complexity of the models were found.
