Acoustohydraulic Sputtering Method for Depositing Coatings on Fibrous Materials

An acoustohydraulic method for sputtering functional coatings onto fibrous materials was proposed. The disperser construction was discussed. Experiments were conducted on dispersion of water under various conditions. Dependences of average water-drop sizes and disperser throughput on the excess of pressure in the technological volume of an acoustohydraulic disperser were plotted. The proposed acoustohydraulic dispersion method was shown to enable drop sizes of ~40 μm to be reached with a throughput of ~10 mL/s (hydrostatic pressure in liquid 810 kPa).
