Special Features of Convective Drying of Dispersed and Fibrous Materials with Periodic Heat Supply

Theoretical relationships were derived for heat carrier flow during convective drying of materials with periodic heat supply. Experimental study of this process was conducted taking account of the extent of utilization of the energy potential of the heat carrier using energy and exergy methods of thermodynamic analysis. A design of a rotary dryer where heat is supplied periodically was developed.
