Dyeing of Meta-Aramid Fiber Materials

The processes of dyeing meta-aramid yarns and fabrics made therefrom by different classes of dyes from aqueous media were studied. It was found that the ingredients of the compounds affect the color intensity of chromophoric systems. The effect of treatment on the functional properties of the fiber material, the intensity, and the uniformity and fastness of colors were studied. Also studied were the kinetics and isothermal sorption of the dyeing processes. The feasibility of using periodic high-temperature condition for meta-aramid fiber dyeing with dispersed and cationic dyes was confirmed.
