<p>A determining factor for the reproductive success of anurans is the complexity of calls emitted by males, which can also be influenced by responses to external stimuli. This study aimed to analyze the acoustic and visual displays of males of <i>Boana albomarginata</i> and <i>Dendropsophus minutus</i> in response to playback of their own advertisement calls. Additionally, we sought to identify which behavior exhibited greater variation in the face of these acoustic stimuli. Conducted in a fragment of the Atlantic Forest in Pernambuco, Brazil, observations were carried out between March and November 2016. The experimental sessions were divided into two parts: (1) absence of artificial advertisement call (2) reproduction of artificial calls. Results indicated that exposure to playbacks triggered 11 behaviors in <i>B. albomarginata</i>, with 2 being acoustic and 9 visual, and 10 behaviors in <i>D. minutus</i>, consisting of 2 acoustic and 8 visual. Understanding the plasticity of vocal and visual behaviors enhances our understanding of the communication and ecology of these species, highlighting the significance of signals in interactions and the preservation of diversity in shared environments.</p>
