<p>We evaluated the adaptability and stability of 13 yellow melon hybrids across 8 distinct environments. Two regression models were applied: the simple regression model of Eberhart and Russell (1966) and the segmented regression model of Cruz et al. (1989), using both traditional and Bayesian estimation approaches. With this, we were able to increase the confidence in the results and increase the effectiveness in the selection of promising genotypes. The simple regression model provided a better fit to the average yield data. This study identified two promising hybrids, G1 (HA-01) and G4 (HA-04), that demonstrate their potential for cultivation in diverse environments. The robustness of the methodologies used in this study strengthens our findings. Additional experiments and data may confirm these results.</p>
