A way to Achieve work-family Balance for Employees: A Study Based on fsQCA
摘要
This study is based on the theory of resource caravans and aims to investigate the complex impact of the interaction between individual resources, work resources, and family resources on employees’ satisfaction with work-family balance. The study utilizes the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) method; the research conducts a configurational analysis of comprehensive data from 201 employees in an organization to identify categories of high and low satisfaction and their influencing factors. The findings indicate that no single factor is necessary for achieving satisfaction with work-family balance; instead, various pathways of factors intricately influence both high and low satisfaction levels. Positive personality traits emerge as the most significant impact, followed closely by work resources and family resources. This study provides valuable insights into the specific factors influencing satisfaction and offers practical implications for human resource management, particularly in effectively fostering work-family balance among employees to enhance overall organisational effectiveness, productivity, and employee well-being.
