Leveraging Employee Value Creation in Building Organizational Resilience: A Serial Mediation Approach
摘要
This study examines the critical role of employees as a crucial organizational resource in value creation, specifically through the lens of human capital, in fostering organizational resilience. A quantitative purposive sampling technique was employed to investigate the chain effects of value creation through human capital for employee-centred corporate social responsibility (ECCSR) initiatives that contribute to organizational resilience over time through employee workplace well-being. The hypothesized model was tested using Partial Least Squares (PLS) serial mediation analysis approach. The results reveal significant positive relationships across both direct and indirect paths. Findings indicate that human capital positively influences ECCSR and, consequently, employee well-being, which subsequently enhances organizational resilience. Also, both human capital and ECCSR are positively impacting organizational resilience. These results highlight the importance of human capital as a driver of value creation, offering valuable insights for HR practitioners on leveraging human capital for sustained organizational benefits. This study suggests that organizations focusing on employee value creation can strengthen resilience, through the Matthew effects to maximize long-term sustainability outcomes.
