The carbon emission reduction effect of digital village construction
摘要
The transformation of data-driven economic systems is key to addressing climate change and achieving carbon emission targets. This change has not only driven the production methods of enterprises, improved their energy efficiency, but also stimulated consumer behavior. This transformation will reduce the enormous challenges faced by China. Take “China’s Digital Village 2011–2021” as the sample. On this basis, methods such as “fixed effects” modeling and mechanism analysis are adopted to analyze the deep mechanisms and mechanisms of the development accurately, a large amount of infrastructure construction and new technological applications require a process of adjustment and learning, and during this process, a significant portion of carbon dioxide emissions will increase in a short period. However, digital technology gradually permeates every step of agricultural production. Empirical analysis confirms that Digital Villages Construction can effectively curb greenhouse gas releases generated by local economic activities. In contrast, their greenhouse gas emissions are subject to certain limitations. The reason behind this is that the carbon emissions it generates are closely related to industrial production. The construction of a “digital village” can optimize resource allocation and improve energy efficiency, but it may not fundamentally solve the high carbon problem in the industrialization process. In China, the more developed the region, the more advanced its industrial structure, and the faster it can popularize green and low-carbon technologies, which will help maximize the emission abatement potential of digital villages. In the meantime, by implementing strict environmental policies, relevant industries and enterprises can accelerate their transformation, promote technological and process changes, and enhance the energy-saving effect of “digital villages”. The article believes that more funds should be invested in Digital Villages Construction to better promote the development of rural areas and ecological civilization in depth. Focusing on environmental protection and resource conservation, on this basis, a new idea of building a “digital countryside” was proposed, and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were put forward.
