How does digital economy affect urban land green use efficiency: spatial spillover and threshold effect
摘要
Amidst rapid urbanization, low urban land green use efficiency has emerged as a primary constraint on high-quality development. The digital economy offers distinct advantages for optimizing industrial structures, invigorating economic activity, and reducing resource consumption, thereby presenting a viable pathway to enhance urban land green use efficiency. This research scrutinizes the impact of the digital economy on enhancing the urban land green use efficiency. This study investigates the relationship between the digital economy and urban land green use efficiency. The findings reveal that: (1) The digital economy exerts a significant positive impact on urban land green use efficiency. (2) Due to the characteristics of strong diffusion and high permeability, digital economy not only has a significant effect on the local urban land green use efficiency but also has a significant effect on the surrounding area. (3) Panel threshold effect analysis shows that once the digital economy surpasses a specific development level, its positive influence on urban land green use efficiency becomes substantially more pronounced.
