<p>The growth in mobile phones usage has been so rapid that electronic waste has become a significant concern, while the rate of technological change in mobile phones and replacing high-tech devices has increased dramatically. In recent years, the refurbishment field has become a critical economic and environmental issue that allows companies to retain the value of products for reusing and reducing the effects on climate change. It is necessary to understand a better perception of the link between refurbishment and environmental concerns through consumer’s perception and attitude. This study tries to incorporate Social Media (SM) data by using the Fuzzy Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method to investigate a customer’s attitude and highlights the features of mobile phones influencing consumers’ purchasing decision. Therefore, we investigated consumer perception toward mobile phone features with the interrelationship between the features and their priority against each other. The results showed that the F1 (Price), F3 (Quality) and F6 (Display) are the most prominent features based on their prominent score. It was also found that the F6 (Display) has the highest driving power (0.52) and acts as a causal feature to influence other features. The conclusions obtained can effectively improve refurbished mobile phone quality which leads to reducing e-waste.</p>
