<p>This research aims to quantify the dynamics between natural resource rent (NRR) and biological capacity in countries surrounding the Persian Gulf. For this analysis, bio-capacity has been identified as a variable influenced by NRR, along with four additional variables that represent economic, social, demographic, and climatic factors. The Pooled Group Mean (PMG) method and panel data from six Persian Gulf nations were employed for the study. The results showed that, from a long-range perspective, NRR generates positive repercussions on the biological capacity of Persian Gulf countries. However, the short-term effect of NRR on biological capacity is generally negative in these countries. Moreover, the effects of GDP per capita and human development in both the short term and the long term are in opposition. Specifically, while the increase in GDP per capita leads to a decrease in biological capacity in the long term, the opposite is true in the short term. In contrast, while human development ultimately boosts biological potential over the long haul, it can be detrimental to near-term biological capacity. Additionally, the adverse effects of population growth on biological capacity are only pronounced in the long term. The role of climate, however, is not statistically significant in either the short or long term. Finally, some recommendations were proposed based on the variations observed in the results.</p>
