Trust evaluation model in IoT environment: a review

摘要

The increasing prevalence of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has led to significant breakthroughs in several fields, especially healthcare and urban development. However, establishing reliability inside IoT ecosystems remains a substantial and critical problem. This review aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation approach for determining trust in these ecosystems. The model includes many aspects of trust, including architecture, sources, measurements, algorithms, and distribution techniques. This research also offers a variety of paradigms for evaluating trust, such as policy-based, reputation-based, and knowledge-based models. It also looks at the way compromise techniques and trust credentials are implemented into practice. This article also examines the crucial intersection of privacy, security, and trust in IoT, and offers helpful insights on how to build trust in these dynamic environments. The IoT devices have great potential for change but also have several challenges and concerns. As such, taking an integrated approach to trust management becomes necessary. The urgency of this need is underscored by the potential of IoT devices for change and the necessity for more trustworthy and secure IoT systems. To facilitate the deployment of such systems, this model offers an in-depth framework for evaluating and managing IoT assurance.
