Activating employees’ organizational citizenship behavior toward the environment in China: a moderated mediation model
摘要
More widespread awareness has to be devoted to how and when perceptions of organizational environmental support (POES) affect employees’ organizational citizenship behavior toward the environment (OCBE). This study examines the link between POES and OCBE depending upon social information processing theory and tests the roles of environmental self-accountability (ESA) and environmental awareness (EA) in this relationship. By analyzing survey data from 369 Chinese employees, we found that POES significantly promotes OCBE, and ESA mediates the connection between POES and OCBE. Additionally, EA enhances the impact of POES on ESA and positively moderates its mediation effect. These outcomes provide important guidance for the green transformation and development of enterprises.
