Unraveling the influence of digital financial system and shadow banking on commercial banks' profitability
摘要
This study aims to inspect the upshots of Fintech and shadow banking on commercial banks’ profitability in KSA. Meanwhile, the "Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency" regulates commercial banks, as well as other companies from the financial sector. This study takes fintech as proxy of digital finance to meet the objective and regulate the shadow banking performances. Furthermore, to explore the fitness of the model-predicted ANOVA test is performed. The regression model concludes that Shadow Banking and Fintech have a significant effect on the profitability of commercial banks of KSA. This study is helpful for investors, bank depositors, and policymakers in KSA. As they would understand the magnitude to what extent, shadow banking affects traditional banking and the consequences in monetary terms.
