摘要

How was Law and Economics institutionalised in Italy? Drawing on interdisciplinary studies, we distinguish four dimensions of the institutionalisation process. The epistemic dimension refers to the development of the dialogue between Italian economists and legal scholars, as well as to the perception of its legitimacy. The cultural dimension refers to the role played by the Italian Society of Law and Economics. The organisational dimension refers to the features of the Italian university system enabling or hampering Law and Economics, as well as to its reception by the legislator, regulators, and judges. Finally, the strategic dimension refers to the initiatives to be planned in order to achieve a deeper interdisciplinary integration.
