<p>Sharks and rays face significant population declines due to overfishing, habitat degradation, and climate change. Their behavioural patterns, such as feeding, territoriality, and interactions with other species, can reveal the ecological roles they play in structuring marine communities. Furthermore, behavioural data can be used to identify essential habitats, such as nursery areas or feeding grounds, which require targeted protection. This study used baited remote underwater video stations (BRUVS) to assess elasmobranch behaviour in the Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, southwestern Atlantic, in 2017 and 2019. Generalised linear models were used to assess the influence of depth, benthic habitat, and management zones on elasmobranch behaviour. Eight elasmobranch species were recorded in 78 of the 129 BRUVS deployments. Sharks and rays exhibited four behaviours: Passive Pass (PP), Incidental Pass (IP), Exploratory Interaction (EI), and Direct Interaction (DI), totalling 232&#xa0;minutes of records. <i>Ginglymostoma cirratum</i> had the highest frequency of DI, followed by <i>Hypanus berthalutzae</i> and <i>Carcharhinus perezii</i>. Generalised linear models revealed that PP, EI, and DI were more frequent in shallower waters. In contrast, IP occurred more frequently in reef habitats, shallower depths, and within no-take MPAs. Interspecific interactions occurred among <i>H. berthalutzae</i> and <i>C. perezii</i>, as well as among <i>Negaprion brevirostris</i>, <i>G. cirratum</i>, and <i>C. perezii</i>. Interactions also occurred between elasmobranchs and <i>Echeneis naucrates</i> and <i>Caranx ruber</i>. This study showed that BRUVS can be an effective tool for quantifying specific behaviours and interactions, emphasising the need for long-term monitoring to guide conservation efforts.</p>
