Advanced Computational Techniques in Analyzing India’s Five-year Plans

摘要

The aim of this project work was to study the analysis of advanced economy systems and models, unexplained economic problems and behaviors as well as trends of India’s five-year plans from 1951 to 2012 using advanced computational techniques including TDA (Topological Data Analysis), Agent-Based Modelling, Genetic Programming Based Symbolic Regression etc. These highly advanced systems have features that other models may not capture; for example, TDA is able to detect clusters where none are being used and yet they would facilitate growth of the economy and population. Agent-Based Modelling represents economic agents cooperating in order to sustain and expand the system. Symbolic regression, even with lower order polynomials is capable of finding the mathematical relationships between target and computed rates so perhaps there are more advanced methods at play here. Fuzzy Logic Systems can modify and store the non-structural economic data in fuzzy way, thus filling up the requisite gap. The policy is based on Innovative economic systems in analysis which the report focuses on serves as Innovative economic systems in analysis which the report focuses more of defensive policies and constitutes among other thing more of the basis for policies. It is intended to provide a foundation for further detailed economic analysis given the discussions practical reasoning that has been followed. Detailed advanced systems models demonstrate an interaction between the economic system and the policy under study, and thus provide a realistic policy option.
