摘要

The IS-LM model is a cornerstone of macroeconomics education, providing critical insights into the interactions between monetary and fiscal policies. However, teaching this model poses significant challenges due to the time-intensive nature of manual calculations and the complexity of visualizing multiple markets simultaneously. This paper introduces Macroeconomix, an innovative Android application designed to streamline the study and teaching of the IS-LM model. The app allows users to input 15 economic parameters, instantly calculate equilibrium values, and generate seven interactive, zoomable charts. Additionally, it enables real-time simulation of monetary and fiscal policies, with visual comparisons of “before” and “after” states to analyze policy impacts effectively. With its multilingual interface (English and Arabic) and intuitive design, Macroeconomix enhances the pedagogic experience by saving classroom time, fostering active learning, and making abstract macroeconomic concepts more accessible. This paper evaluates the app's features, pedagogical contributions, and potential for broader adoption in economics education (Advanced Macroeconomics McGraw-Hill Education, 2021).
