<p>A new alkaloid, termed endomekaloid (<b>1</b>), and nine known compounds (<b>2</b>–<b>10</b>) were isolated from the plant endophytic fungus <i>Endomelanconiopsis microspore</i> for the first time. Their structures were established through extensive spectroscopic analyses, including HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR. All the isolated compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against HepG2 cancer cell lines. Compound <b>1</b> displayed obvious cytotoxicity with an IC<sub>50</sub> value of 20.5 μM. Compounds <b>2</b>–<b>7</b> also showed different degrees of inhibitory activity with IC<sub>50</sub> values ranging from 36.4 to 85.2 μM.</p>

A new alkaloid, termed endomekaloid (1), and nine known compounds (210) were isolated from the plant endophytic fungus Endomelanconiopsis microspore for the first time. Their structures were established through extensive spectroscopic analyses, including HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR.
