<p>Two new ketone compounds, a new anthraquinone, 1,6-dihydroxy-2,7,8-trimethoxy-3-methylanthracene-9,10-dione (<b>1</b>) and one chromone, (S)-5-hydroxy-7-(hydroxymethyl)-2-(2-hydroxypropyl)-4H-chromen-4-one (<b>2</b>), along with two known flavonoids 3,3′,5′,5,7-pentahydroxyflavanone (<b>3</b>) and fisetinediol (<b>4</b>), were isolated from <i>Desmodium caudatum</i> (Thunb.) DC. and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. Compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> were tested for their anti-tobacco mosaic virus (anti-TMV) activity. The results showed that compounds <b>1</b> and <b>2</b> showed anti-TMV activity with inhibition rates of 15.8 and 17.0%, respectively.</p>
