<p>Two new natural δ-lactones compounds, 3-methoxy-δ-valerolactone (<b>1</b>) and (R)-mevalonolactone (<b>2</b>) were isolated from the roots of <i>Michelia figo</i>. The structure of the two new δ-lactones were elucidated by chemical and physical evidence.</p>
