<p>New dimer compounds containing indole-quinoline moieties were synthesized from 2-chloro-6(7)-methyl-3-formylquinoline and tryptamine via a Pictet–Spengler reaction. Their relaxant activity was studied. The structures of the obtained compounds were confirmed using IR, mass, and NMR spectral data and X-ray crystal structure analyses.</p>
