<p>Four lignans (<b>1–4</b>), including a new one, namely (7R,8S)-9-hydroxy-3,4-methylenedioxy-3′,9′-dimethoxy[7-O-4′,8-5′]neolignan (<b>1</b>), were isolated from the ethanolic extract of the dried leaves of <i>Phyllanthus emblica</i> L. Their structures were determined on the basis of extensive MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic techniques, and comparison with literature data. Compounds <b>1–4</b> exhibited low sensitivity towards five specific human cancer cell lines and no obvious antioxidant activity.</p>
