Water-Soluble Polysaccharides from Fruit of Gymnocladus dioicus
摘要
Water-soluble polysaccharides were isolated from fruit of Gymnocladus dioicus. Their monosaccharide compositions were established. Galactomannan with molecular mass 3200 kDa and a Galp–Manp ratio of 1:1.54 was isolated from seeds. Spectral methods showed that the galactomannan macromolecule main chain was analogous to that of galactomannans from the Fabaceae family and consisted of β-1,4-bonded mannans in which several mannose residues were substituted in the C-6 position by single β-D-galactopyranose residues. The antiulcer activity of the water-soluble polysaccharides was demonstrated. Their gastroprotective activity was comparable to that of the drug plantaglucid.
