<p>New derivatives of lupane triterpenoids containing a pyrrole or <i>N</i>-vinylpyrrole ring condensed with ring A and a C-28 amide or methyl group in the triterpenoid were synthesized by the reaction of 3-ketoximes based on betulonic acid or lupenone amides with acetylene in KOH–DMSO superbase solution.</p>
