<p>A new cyclolignan, 6-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2,3-dimethyl-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one (<b>1</b>) was isolated from the leaves of <i>Machilus zuihoensis</i> Hayata var. mushaensis (F. Y. Lu) Y. C. Liu (Lauraceae). The structure of the new cyclolignan was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence.</p>
