<p>Phytochemical investigation of the fruits of <i>Choerospondias axillaris</i> afforded a new alkenyl derivative, choerosponol M (<b>1</b>), and three known metabolites choerosponol A (<b>2</b>), poupartone A (<b>3</b>), and 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furancarboxaldehyde (<b>4</b>). The absolute configuration of <b>1</b> was elucidated by comparing experimental and calculated ECD data.</p>
