A New Benzylisoquinoline of Nelumbo nucifera cv. Rosa-plena

A new C-α methoxy benzylisoquinoline, annocherine E (1), along with 11 known compounds including liriodenine (2), atherospermidine (3), lysicamine (4), oxoxylopine (5), (–)-N-formylstepharine (6), (–)-anonaine (7), (–)-asimilobine (8), (–)-xylopine (9), (+)-N-methyllaurotetanine (10), (–)-norushinsunine (11), and (–)-ushinsunine (12) were isolated from the stems of Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn. cv. Rosa-plena. The structure of the new benzylisoquinoline was elucidated by chemical and physical evidence.
