<p>Mixed-orientation marriages, where partners have differing sexual orientations, remain understudied despite their unique relational dynamics. This study examined relationships between sexual attraction and relational insecurity in 113 sexual minority individuals in mixed-orientation marriages, investigating whether religiousness served as a protective or risk factor. Results showed that same-sex attraction is linked to relational anxiety, while opposite-sex attraction is associated with lower relational avoidance. Service attendance moderated these relationships, though intrinsic religiousness did not. Findings reveal heterogeneity in how sexual attraction relates to relational intimacy in mixed-orientation marriages and emphasize the importance of clinical sensitivity to religiousness when working with this population.</p>
