A data sharing scheme for IoT devices based on blockchain and zk-SNARK

With the increasingly extensive application of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, the IoT data is increasing rapidly and becoming more valuable. However, data breach and privacy issues with IoT devices are also growing. At present, there are malicious cloud servers in IoT, which will record the information of IoT users, resulting in personal privacy data leakage. In order to ensure secure sharing of IoT data and reduce risks, an anonymous data sharing scheme is proposed with blockchain and zk-SNARK. Firstly, we adopt zk-SNARK and blind signature to construct anonymous certificates and design the access control strategy to ensure the anonymous access authentication of IoT data sharing. Secondly, a multi-hop proxy re-encryption method and zk-SNARK are employed to devise a key transformation, and a data security transmission scheme is devised for use between IoT users, with the objective of achieving data encryption and decryption between users without the need for interaction. Subsequently, using the designed data security transmission scheme, combined with the user anonymous identity authentication and permission access control strategy, the IoT data sharing scheme is designed and implemented based on the TEE blockchain. Finally, experiments are conducted to verify IoT users’ security requirements for unforgeable identity, untraceability, non-deceit and anonymity. A security and performance analysis of the proposed scheme is also conducted to ascertain its practical viability and theoretical efficacy.
