<p>Dielectric properties of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC)-water mixtures were investigated using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR). Complex permittivity spectra were analyzed using the Debye model to determine static dielectric constant and relaxation time. The hydration number decreases with increasing HPMC concentration, indicating that fewer water molecules are associated with each HPMC molecule. Thermodynamic parameters were also calculated. These findings provide insights into HPMC-water interactions and dissolution behaviour.</p>
