Facile, Ambient and Green Synthesis of Quinoline Under Visible Light Using NiO–TiO2 Nanoparticles as Photocatalyst
摘要
In this pioneering work, we have synthesized NiO–TiO2 nanoparticles via co-precipitation method. The synthesized NiO–TiO2 nanoparticles properties were analyzed by various characterization tools to study morphology, surface area, bandgap analysis, compositional analysis and oxidation state. The band edge ranged around 2.6 eV calculated from Tauc’s plot analysis exposes the catalyst activity in visible light medium. Photocatalytic activity has been checked in the synthesis of quinolines using NiO–TiO2 nanoparticles under blue LED light medium. NiO–TiO2 nanoparticles have been used to prepare 10 different quinoline derivatives under light medium. NiO–TiO2 nanoparticles show excellent activity in the synthesis of heterocycles with high reactivity, more stability, less reaction time, more conversion, environment friendly, visible light active, ease recovery and reusability for the next runs without loss of its catalytic activity.
